We are proud to offer grant opportunities to support meaningful projects that serve our local community. Each year, we select one Special Project that not only benefits Mathews County as a whole but also allows our members to roll up their sleeves and assist with hands-on labor. In addition, we provide smaller funding opportunities for local organizations working to make a positive impact. We invite organizations to apply and partner with us to help strengthen our community. The 4 Way Test
Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concern? Will it bring goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concern?
Service projects
Our criteria for the community service grant ($1,500) are that the proposed project should benefit the overall Mathews Community, require some labor that Rotary can provide and is to be completed by the end of June 2025. Last year's project was assisting in removing the older walkway at Williams Wharf.
Grant funding
The Mathews Rotary Club also wants to hear from other organizations in our community that are in need of funds to help others in some meaningful way (typically $1,000 or less).
